Other causes of male impotence

THERE ARE MULTIPLE CAUSES OF IMPOTENCE
OTHER THAN VASCULAR DISEASES :

  • Psychological (stress, anxiety, tiredness, depression, …)
  • Hormonal (ex. low testosterone level in blood)
  • Neurological (diabetic neuropathy, spine or pelvis trauma, multiple sclerosis, …)
  • Urologic (urologic or genital infections, prostate surgery, Lapeyronie disease, …)
  • Medications

When a vasular disease has been diagnosed, it is important to determine whether the patient is affected by other diseases or abnormalities that may participate to erection dysfunction, and to provide an appropriate answer.

In all patients, impotence due to vascular diseases has severe psychological impact: anxiety, depression, sometimes suicidal thoughts.

Surgial treatment of vascular diseases is a necessary step to recover self-confidence..
